Rapper Diamond BET’s “Best Female Hip Hop” nominee and former Crime Mob member , Diamond, is currently in the studio working on her debut album set to be released 4th quarter 2012 or 1st quarter 2013. The self-proclaimed CEO of #TeamPretty, Diamond, just released her highly-anticipated LP, entitled, “The Young Life” on August 28th, 2012 with lead singles “American Woman” featuring Verse Simmonds and “Love Like Mine” featuring Nikkya.

In the beginning of her career Diamond gained stardom in 2004 when she was in Crime Mob with their single “Knuck If You Buck” (certified platinum). Their next charting single, “Rock Yo Hips“, was released in August 2006 and was followed by a second album “Hated on Mostly” in March 2007.

In November 2007, Diamond left Crime Mob to pursue a solo career as a female rapper.

In the beginning of her solo career, Diamond released a number of mixtapes, such as “Bitch Muzik Vol. 1,” “Bitch Muzik Vol. 2” and “P.M.S (Pardon My Swag).”

In 2010, Diamond appeared on the remix version of “My Chick Bad” along with Trina and Eve. In the summer of 2010 Diamond released her debut single “Lotta Money” which also appeared on BET’s 106 & Park.

At the end of 2010, Diamond released her 4th mixtape “Cocaine Waitress” with accompanying music videos in 2011 for “Hit Dat Hoe,” “Honey Bun,” “NFL NBA” and “Bottle Poppin’.”

In 2011, Diamond continued her success with her 5th mixtape “Bitch Musik Vol. 4 : Poor Lil Rich Gurl” and enlisted director Mike Ryan to get fans to grab their popcorn as #TeamPretty CEO played a number of different roles. Music videos for “Tony Montana,” “#TeamPrettyBitches,” Buy It All” and “Loose Screws” were released.

In August 2011, after releasing her mixtape “Bitch Musik Vol 4 : Poor Lil Rich Gurl,” Diamond decided to create a new team from the ground up with the name #TeamPretty____ and or #TeamDiamond. Since then, Diamond‘s team has grown substantially as an outlet for fans and a way for them to interact with Diamond online. From going onto Skype for her fans to interacting with them on Twitter, Diamond is committed to her brand in a way that is rarely seen by others. Fans can expect to see Diamond broaden her career in 2012 with her role in new drama series “The Lick.”

In May 2012, Diamond was nominated for the second time in a row for BET’s “Best Female Hip Hop” Award.
